Four Roads in Central Jakarta will Be Equipped with Water Pumps

Central Jakarta Water Reservoir (SDA) Sub-agency will install 5 water pumps on 4 roads that often inundated when heavy rain falls.

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Development and Drainage Improvement Section Head, Maman Supraman stated, his side will install water pumps on Jalan Mangga Besar XIII, Jalan Industri, Jalan Rajawali Selatan, and Jalan Jati Pinggir II.

According to him, those roads are often inundated when the rain falls because it is located in the lowland area.

"We will install pumps with capacity 250 liters per second," he added, Thursday (1/7).

Currently, two pumps are being installed on Jalan Mangga Besar XIII. While pumps for three other locations are still being shipped from abroad.

"We target its installation to finish in January to overcome inundation that often occurs," he asserted.
